The place was a bit of a wait but my cod and chips were good. My wife had two pieces of halibut which turned out to be one piece sliced down the middle(wife worked at a restaurant that had fish and chips on the menu). The results were dried out fish and gyprock mud for mashed potatoes. The daughter had calamari which she did not care for(over battered) The 27$ halibut is a waste of time and go somewhere else for a better experience.Dave Fort Mcmurray

We came here after we were unwelcomed at The Trough, it’s summer we had no reservations the place was 90% empty but she turned us away. Lucky for us we came here on a whim with no expectations. I had had the Halibut was fabulous and just try to find good fish and chips in Canada..lol ya they all suck. Ding ding ding !! winner winner halibut dinner… we both had halibut and fries they were amazing not greasy home cut fries. It was busy, the service was slow but what did I care, I wasn’t in a rush, it was laid back, we drank our guinness and had ordered the half side of nachos which were enormous. We paid extra for the gauc on the side and who knew the salsa, sour cream were huge portions. Like where do you get so much on the side.. ya home..that is where and the Georgetown pub/Miners Lamp pub. The fish and chips came out shortly after and I was stunned and amazed how wonderful they were. I searched all of Calgary for good fish and chips, 20 years worth of crap fish and chips I purposely didn’t finish my dinner so I could bring them home and enjoy them again for lunch. I have found my place.. It’s old school pub, you want fast fish and chips go to Joey’s and choke those down…I can hardly wait to go back.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at your pub. Went for nice fall drive to Canmore with a friend to enjoy the spectacular fall scenery. My friend was taking mefor a birthday lunch. She asked me where, and I replied, that I had seen yourInn previously on line, and I really wanted to go there. Upon arriving, everything looked fine., we wanted the English experience. Didn’t really enjoy the loud rock music. When our meal came. Of course I ordered Fish and Chips. It was awful. The fish batter not at all crispy, instead quite soggy. The hand cut fries, were not like a fresh fry at all, but rather limp and somewhat cold. THEN, I used the washroom. OMG, so dirty. I was so surprised, the most important thing in a restaurant, and washroom is cleanliness. Filthy dirty white door, walls, mirror etc. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. After leaving the washroom, noticing your windows, door to the patio etc. really dirty as well. It turned me right off. Presentation of my friend’s soup and sandwich , terrible, sandwich was bare and flopped on the plate, and her soup served ,not in a nice bowl, but in a clear, didn’t look very clean beer mug. We won’t be back. The ambience in there is so beautiful, and would look amazing, if cleaned up. I can’t believe that the owner wouldn’t take pride in that place and show it off, like it should be. I never complain, or have written an e mail. But I just had to. Hopefully someone will kick it up a notch and clean the place up.Thanks,Shirley

I’ve been here two times and can honestly say it’s the worst service I’ve received in all of Canmore/banff area. One time specifically; there looked to be only two people working and they were both out side having a smoke talking to some friends passing by while the cooks rang their bell, people were hungry, waiting on their bills, drinks and even to have their order taken. It’s unfortunate the food is so good…

This pub truly reminded me of pubs in Ireland. The atmosphere was perfect! Good food. Good service. Family friendly. Turned out to be an excellent stop after hiking in the mountains. Definitely want to return for brunch as it looks awesome!

I had brunch here a few weeks ago. The food was great, good portions, tasty and not a long waiting time. Interesting decor in the restaurant and they can do an Irish Coffee pretty well so there good in my books. Defiantly would recommend it too anyone looking for a British style breakfast. Only down side was servers were slow with the bill and never asked me how the food/coffee was..

Pure crap!. Whomever wrote that it was good food has no taste buds. Not sure how 80% liked this place. The food was greasy and all tasted like pork sausages were added. The veggies were old and our server was depressing. Would not return ever.
