We’ve been to the Rose & Crown a few times now and will continue to keep going. Their prices are reasonable and their food is always good. Their lamb shanks are so tasty! The only downside is I could always eat more of them. They do amazing fries as well. Most of their food is Irish, so expect lamb and the sorts. They do pretty good burgers too. The only downside is they’ve been out of a couple of their tap beers when we’ve been, but that’s no big deal. The servers have always been quick, friendly, and helpful with their suggestions. The decor of the place is neat too.
This place has a nice little patio outback to sit on when the weather is nice. The staff were friendly and the drinks we ordered were good. Food came quickly and was tasty. Like this location better than Banff.
Doesn’t look much from the outside. Inside is much more welcoming . We did come late and sat down at a booth with the intention of having the after hours bar food and some beer.The eats were decent. The pitcher of beer was Kokanee Gold which I am a very experienced consumer of. Something wrong with this batch tonight. Tasted off. Stale. I hope they didn’t serve us stale beer. But we still had a good time.
While We waited for our room to be ready we came here for a meal and to play darts. We ordered the sirloin eggs Bennie and goat cheese salad were delish!!! Until next time!
A good pub style environment with ample patio seating. Food is what you would expect of a pub atmosphere. Had the bison burger with bacon & cheese and fries. The others at our table had a beef dip which they raved about. My burger was ok and the fries were a bit soggy. Good selection of beverages on the menu. My JK rose was the perfect temp. The service was awesome. Those girls work their butts off! Friendly and even under pressure they preformed well (there was an explosion in canmore knocking out gas to all the other restaurants so it put more pressure on those who did have full amenities). I would visit again.
We stop here often when passing through. We enjoy the atmosphere and most of the things we’ve tried on the menu. Favorite dish was the meatloaf but sadly it’s no longer on the menu. We always sit at the wood, and the bartenders have always been friendly and attentive. The only thing we’ve ever been disappointed with is that sometimes some patrons are too loud and attention seeking with over the top laughter. Management needs to have a quiet word with these types. Last time we were there one of the bar patrons was going to go over and tell a table to Shut the **** up. Other than that a good place.23 Nov, 2014Meat Loaf. Homestyle comfort food.
