Quaint!. Old fashioned little place that serves the best Chinese food I’ve ever had for very reasonable prices. Great customer service as well! I only ever order from here. I should also mention that they do NOT take debit for deliveries!
This place sucks.. There is no other way to put it, but the last time i went to the Jade Village i found a chunk of metal in my Beef and Broccoli. That wasn’t the way i wanted to get my daily dose of iron. Strongly de-recommend.
So rude!. I’ve been ordering from this restaurant for the past year and today I go to place my usual $70 order and a young man gets on the phone and tells me that he is going to charge me for hot sauce! For real? He tells me it is expensive and I asked if I could have it instead of the soya sauce and his answer… No! I canceled my order and shall never return. Sad to see it have to end this way – goodbye Jade Restaurant!
My husband and I recently moved to St. Albert and were looking for a good chinese take out restaurant. I can definitely say this is NOT the place. Tried the hot and sour soup, which was tasteless and a bit gelatinous, and ended up being thrown in the garbage. The grilled War Tip Dumplings were mediocre at best with next to no seasoning. Tasted liked an old frozen product that was pan fried up. Spring rolls were okay but would have been a lot better if there were more than a sliver of filling inside the huge amount of deep fried wrap. My husband’s Shanghai Noodles were burnt and almost void of seasoning. The burnt taste over whelmed anything else. My Beef Rice Noodles were nothing more than average, and yet again, lacking in flavour. And the extremely chewy, tough beef slices didn’t help either. The Honey Garlic Ribs tasted decent, but were quite tough and chewy. And lastly, the Crushed Almond Chicken (Soo Gai) was barely edible. The crushed almond coating was doughy and under cooked in some pieces, and not very flavourful. Needless to say, we feel we completely wasted $55 on a supper that wasn’t fullfilling nor tasty. Definitely won’t ever order again, nor will I recommend anyone else waste their money at this restaurant. Extremely disappointing.
Addicted to the Wor Wonton Soup. Make sure to ask for the chili sauce. Best prices.
Service was awesome! Food terrible.deep fried wonton tasted bad, fried rice bland sweet n sour pork chewy and tasted off.would not recommend or return.
