I had never ordered from Amandine Bakery before but it came up as a search result for quality and quantity on Google. Im not as adventurous with cake options especially when theres a crowd to fill and ESPECIALLY if its my own birthday party! However when I called and asked for their most popular cake, they recommended the Bavarian Fruit Cake. Now I love any cake with fruits (not fruitcake mind you!!) but not everyone does. So for parties I have always opted for a nice chocolate cake where people usually eat a slice and take home the rest. However, I had a good feeling about this cake so I ordered 12×16 for 40 people. Once it arrived, the size was enormous for what they had described for 30-35 people. Basically I could have ordered a smaller size and fed the same amount of people. Also …THE CAKE WAS TO DIE FOR! All my chocolate lovers were on their 3rd slice of the cake raving about how good it was and how the fruits were very fresh. Im happy that the crowd loved it because I loved it as well! Its a family run business but I know it could definitely give all the chains a good run for their money in terms of quality and quantity 🙂
