What a hidden gem! We went on a Tuesday evening for a girlfriend’s birthday, and be warned, this restaurant is small, the maximum capacity is 22 so reservations are highly recommended. The menu is limited to a small selection of appetizers and pizza, but that was absolutely fine because we were there to have the pizzas. We decided to order 4 pizzas to share (we were hungry apparently), and a tre colori salad (caprese salad). The pizza was made to order, you can see them making the dough right in front of you, and the crust was thin and crispy, and toppings were generous. We tried the margherita and added prosciutto, the 10, the 5 cheese (white pizza), and unfortunately I forgot the name of the 4th, but it was a spicy pizza. All 4 of the pizzas were delicious, my favorites being the margherita and the 10. There were a few families that came in after us and you could tell they were regulars as they were talking/laughing with the owners. The service was very friendly and the pizzas were amazing. Admittedly, I’ve always been a fan of Una, but I find it annoying they don’t take reservations, and takeout pizza is never as good as eating it right out of the oven. Azzuri is right up there with them in terms of the food quality & taste. I would highly recommend giving them a try.

Loved it loved it loved it ! This is a wonderful authentic pizza place. The staff are absolutely delightful and so friendly a lovely family business. We came for lunch and I tried the pizza feature of the week which had prosciutto, pear, Gorgonzola and balsamic the perfect mix of salty and sweet. Delicious ! Other people at my table tried the capricciosa delicious with lots of Sicilian olives and the martino. Everyone was satisfied. We look forward to going back again- hopefully for a dinner and to try some appetizers.

Azzuri pizzeria is one of the best restaurants in the city. Una, Double Zero, Puccinella, CIBO, Without Papers, Bocce are all good and have their moments. None of them are nearly as good as Azzuri pizzeria. The people that run this restaurant should be truly proud of what they have created.

Came here early on a Friday night and got the last table in the restaurant. Would definitely recommend a reservation to ensure you get a spot. The pizza was fresh and very flavorful and authentic. The ingredients are fresh and minimalist. Great dining experience with wonderful staff.

Azzurri was a phenomenal experience. I’ve had almost all the pizza’s on the menu, and it humbles me every time I go because it is a family run establishment. They make you feel at home, and the pizza’s are delectable. Never leave without trying Mama’s Tiramisu!

Azzurri Pizzeria is a family run authentic Neapolitan pizza joint. Alessandro, the head pizzamaker, trained with world champion Tony Gemignani in San Francisco. Alessandro’s love for pizza and his dedication to the craft shows in the final product. The warm family atmosphere was refreshing- we enjoyed talking about pizza with them and the kids loved the snazzy blue brick fire oven. Pizzas I would recommend are the Margarita (italian tomatoes, fresh mozza, basil), House italian spicy sausage/rapini, and the Mushroom/Proscuitto. The crust is light- a perfect balance of crispy on outside with some char for flavor combined with a moist interior with enough chew. It’s not a greasy pie. Thanks guys (and Mom), we’ll be back.

I’ve been very keen on coming to this place ever since I first read about it on the news and their history seemed interesting. The pizza was fresh and light. Their menu was limited in terms of non pork options so only left with vegetarian since they were also out of chicken and tuna so early in the day. The pieces of toppings on the pizza were nice but I wish they were a little bigger. The flavours seemed to all mash and not strong on their own. I’m not against coming back here again but it won’t be for a while.
