Sadly, Boccavino no longer exists. It was purchased by another Italian restaurant consortium, underwent a restoration and has recently reopened under a different name. I have yet to dine there.
Not much to look at from outside but don’t be fooled, the food is absolutely amazing!!! Right next door to Lina’s Italian supermarket, think it’s the same kitchen servicing both venues.
The bruschetta was good. Enjoyed the tomato and mozzarella salad. My husband had the salmon which was grilled nicely and pasta was fine. I had the Sicilian pizza which was good. Cappuccino was fine and the tiramisu was quite good.
Comfortable, unpretentious restaurant attached to Lina’s Italian Market [also a gem!]We had the chicken marsala and lasagne and both were simple and delicious. Service was very good and I would certainly pay this place a visit the next time I’m in town.
Wow what a great local place. Not pretentious and priced for th neighborhood. Food is all made on site and reasonably priced.Warning – this is not trendy like the fancy pizza places on 17 Avenue.
