  So-so…. I had jerk chicken from this place yesterday and although the taste was good, two of the pieces of chicken were just bone and gristle so, for $13 I got i small piece of chicken, a wing with the end on it that no one eats and lots of cheap rice. No thanks. I am going to Joycees Caribbean Foods today and try them for the first time – the reviews seem better and I am looking for a permanent spot to buy my jerk chicken from. I will eat this 3 or 4 times a week so, I could have been a good customer. Onward to better value….

  Slam of the microwave door should have sent me running, but I waited for my Jerk chicken, the only thing I was looking forward to all day. The only thing close to being Jamaican was, I did get hustled. Oh so baaaad.

  Jerk Chicken with no Chicken!. My friend and I tried this place using a deal of the day special. It’s generally my thinking that these deals are used to enhance your customer base, but I would never go back. We received the jerk chicken meal, which we paid $6 for, and which normally goes for $12. The portion was large, including 4pieces of chicken, a healthy serving of rice, and some veggies. First off, the taste was very good, which is why I can see people giving this place positive reviews. The problem was that for both of us our pieces of chicken were almost entirely grizzle, fat and bone. There would have been more meat on 6 wings! Again the taste was great, but the chicken was so disappointing. One of my pieces resembled a neck or something, I couldn’t even tell where it came from, it was gross. Maybe if you don’t buy your meal using a deal you’re given the good meat, but it was unacceptable, and I’m really not that picky. Long story short, I won’t go back. My friend has enjoyed Joyce’s Caribbean food, so we’ll go there next time.

  Mmm…Ginger Beer. Caribbean Choice Food catered lunch at work today so I was happy to see it was a chance to try something new. The Jerk Chicken, Curried Beef and Brown Stew Chicken all had good heat. Nothing was dried out and the meat wasn’t tough at all. The Ginger Beer was also surprisingly good. Sweet and refreshing as you were drinking but as soon as you stopped, the ginger in it gave a spicy hot aftertaste. It was really weird feeling that takes your tastebuds on a wild ride. Give it a shot if you’ve never had it before.Very good for take out. I imagine it would be even better if you ate there and got everything fresh out of the kitchen.
