Been here a few times and everyone always leaves super full and satisfied. Its a cool concept to have Taiwanese snacks, bubble tea and hot pot all in one place. Will be coming back!
I really liked this place actually. The atmosphere reminded me of a small hole in the shop in Asia, and with all the similar offerings. A lot of the menu is in Chinese so it seems frequented by the community which is a good sign for hot pot in my opinion. The have self-serve water and tea (unsweetened) which I really liked, and the soup broths had a lot of variety. The last place I went to only had 4 different kinds, and not only does this place have variety but their spicy broth is actually incredibly spicy if you ask for it! The service was really good, and the ingredients I really liked. Not a huge fan of getting spam as an ingredient, but they let you substitute it out (I get more cabbage because I love it) and it’s nice. Once you have everything it’s a very hands off experience where you get drinks as you need and you just cook at your own pace. I’ve never left feeling unfull.EDIT: Update, this is still my favorite restuarant now, and I’ve edited to add the fact if you don’t like an ingredient they often serve, you can ask to have it substituted for free!Overall, definitely return.
I decided to check this place out a couple days ago, I had wanted something hot and yummy. For lunch they have lunch deals that was really a good deal. For like $12 you get your own personal hot pot cooking in front of you in one of there many broth choices and you can pick one meat and the pot is already filled with yam, taro, carrot, potato, shrimp and many other items. As for hot pot goes it was just OK. They had no Shabu Shabu nor was it very memorable. I ordered the Stay broth and the broth was lacking in flavour, however they do have a sauce station and you can combine all these ingredients to make your own concoction, with the sauce the hot pot was then more flavorful and it was good. For the $12 set lunch you also get unlimited cold Assam tea and also they throw in a drink of your choice, slushes, bubble tea, sugar cane juice etc. So for the value it was really a great deal. Would I come back here again?? Mmmm, maybe if I had no other choices or trying to budget lunch.
Not a bad hole in the wall for a quick simple hotpot. Very simple menu and drinks. Quick service and friendly. Will have to try the other hot pot soup base
6 of us went to Japanese Hot Pot on a weeknight, I would recommend a reservation as they did get very busy and there are only two tables of 6, the rest are for a table for 2 or 4. The concept here is individual hot pots, but you still cook yourself, which i liked. I had only been to Hot Point which is also individualized, but all the ingredients is cooked at once for you and they use a flame to keep it hot. I liked that this restaurant had electric warmers. The ingredients were fresh and I liked that you could choose your broth, meat and noodles (ramen, udon, glass noodles etc). You can choose from small or large, the large comes with 2 meats and more veggies than the small. You can also add bubbletea for a reduced price. I totally recommend this restaurant and will return.
Came here for the first time a few weeks ago. I got the sukiyaki, and it was really good. My gf tried the spicy one and it was really oily, pretty much non edible. It’s a good price as the 2 of us with drink came out to ~40-45.
The drinks can be hit or miss here, and it really depends on who you get to make it. I would say stick to something you know you already like. The broth and the food are great, especially for the price. The staff are really polite and I’ve never had a bad experience with any of them.
