I’m going to save a 5 star rating for when we go to Italy. This is a family place. Great people. Very proud of what they do and you can taste it. I don’t go out to be fashionable; I go out because I want to have a nice evening and eat wholesome quality food. La Luna Rossa is some of the best I’ve ever experienced. Such care in everything they do. The bread alone is reason to come here. Fresh seafood. Homemade lasagna. Good selection of wine. White tablecloths. Come, eat, and enjoy…but please save me a table.

Loved it loved it loved it !!! We bought the travelzoo voucher. What a steal of a deal! We went on a Thursday for $25 bottle of wine – delicious !!! Diana was our server and she was fantastic, very kind and nice. She never left a glass empty 🙂 we started with prosciutto crostini, delicious bread with prosciutto melted cheese and anchovies. Then we both chose veal courses. Mine had shrimp, scallop and lobster tail In a rose sauce very delicious, I savoured every bite. The other veal dish had prosciutto and a white wine sauce very light and delicious as well. We loved the side veggies especially the onion!! We are not dessert people but because of the travelzoo we got the tiramisu – thanks goodness we did it was fantastic so light and fresh tasting With a nice pudding/custard texture and a not so overpowering coffee taste. I know what I will be ordering next time !!!! We also had grappa and limoncello. Delicious dinner. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you for the fantastic service !

While my family was visiting we decided to try some Italian and this restaurant came recommended by a reviewer Derek knows so we thought we’d give it a try. We booked a reservation for that evening and when we arrived there was only one other party there at the time which was a nice contrast from the noisy restaurant we’d been to the night before. The restaurant was bright, light and quiet which was perfect for us. With the hosts recommendation we tried the special cheese platter for an appetizer – something light to start. It came with three different kinds of cheese – a creamy brie, a soft cheese that might have been friulano or something similar, and a dense Parmesan (possibly Grana Padano, not hard enough to be Romano) with the really nice flavour I just can’t get enough of. I would definitely have that again, it was deliciously simple. For dinner we all had something different, which is rare as we tend to all like the same dishes. I tried the bacon wrapped guinea fowl special. It was perfectly cooked, with a delicious sauce that went great with everything on the plate. Next time I really want to try the scallops dinner! Along with everything else on the menu…For dessert I tried the Tiramisu which came with a really nice orange creamy sauce on the side. It was one of the most delicious tiramisu’s I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait for more!I would enjoy coming back to La Luna again!

was a bit hesitant to go since there are no new reviews. But this place was great food! Italian mom and papa place! It was great! Service was awesome and so was the food. We went with a celiac and they were very accommodating! Overall great and I will be back for sure! Make sure you make reservations though!

Exquisitely Authentic. We are so very greatful to the staff and chef of the La Luna Rossa who graciously accommodated our large group and masterfully served an exquisite meal on the spot to make our family gathering memorable. The authentic cuisine was delectable and inspired future visits to explore a wonderfully Italian menu!

Just perfect. I had heard about this place from a friend, and decided it would be a good place to take my aunt, who I only see once a year. We love to talk, and also love Italian food. First of all, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and very inviting. The young man who greeted and served us was one of the best servers either of us have had… we agreed that he was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive, which is incredibly rare. The food… mmmm… the food was just amazing. We shared the olive plate as our appetizer… delicious! I had the gnocchi pomodoro, which was just right, and my aunt had the butternut squash ravioli, over which she raved. Both of us finished every morsel. Honestly, a fantastic experience at a lovely family-owned restaurant. Intimate and warm, we’ll be back, and will tell all of our friends.
