Pretty standard food court fare. Everything is decently tasty (I usually get the chicken teriyaki) and fairly fresh, but pretty salty. The quality of the meat can also be a little spotty: sometimes its really pretty good, other times it’s riddled with gristle. It’s definitely a good option if you’re on campus and craving Japanese, but I definitely wouldn’t make a trip there.
Very nice. Doesn’t seem to have changed much over the years. Healthy portions, tasty meat and vegetables, hard to get this wrong. Portions seemed a bit larger on my most recent visit.
Use to be good, not anymore. Use to love this place. Last couple times I went the food was almost inedible. Noodles were not cooked fresh, and the quality of the meat was terrible. Ended up eating around the meat so it would not be a compete waste. I guess they decided to use poor quality ingredients but kept their menu and prices the same. Won’t be eating there again.
Portions are getting smaller. I used to like ordering the chicken teriyaki from kobe beef because it tastes good and the portions were once quite huge. However, it seems like the portions are getting smaller and smaller so I don’t go as often.
Delightful Asian Curry. I used to go here all the time last year for their teriyaki and hawaiian dishes before I started exploring other options in the food court. I always thought that the vegetables were barely cooked during rush hours and found the rice too sticky at times. Then, I tried the beef curry rice today and man, was it ever delicious. The meat and its fat just melted in your mouth. The curry sauce was very smooth and had a fresh aroma. The potatoes were fluffy and the softness of the carrots was just right. The soft rice had a nice contrast with the cooked and crunchy vegetables. Overall, I really, really liked it.This is now my go-to place for curry on campus. Sorry, Happy Hut. 🙁
Only thing that has changed is the prices. Ahhhhhh, Kobe Beef; years ago as a student I remember this place was the ultimate in cheap eats. For under $5, you can get a big sized styrofoam contained filled with rice, veggies, and beef. Now, a half container is already $5.80. Other than that, nothing else has really changed. The rice (it was on the mushy side when I ate there), veggies – consisting of cabbage, broccoli, and carrots – and beef remain more or less the same.I might add that you now determine the amount of sauce you put on your meal, before you had to indicate how many scoops to the cook.
I LOVE this place. It tastes so good, I get the beef chicken large combo with noodles and it’s amazing. The sauce is amazing as well. They have never let me down
