How many different ways can you eat fries? Potatoes aren’t exactly a high value item, unless you sell them for $10. And the trusty spud has been taking a knock lately for being genetically modified and causing premature death when fried, but hey that’s half the charm if you think fries are gourmet. Albeit good fries — cut em up curly, slather with chilli or cheese curds and gravy. I prefer mine with mayonnaise, Dutch style. But at the end of the day? They’re fries ppl.

Very decent poutine.. We tried the poutine from Spud Mobeel at the Pride party at Shaw Millennium Park yesterday. I’d just, that morning, flown back home from Montreal where I revelled in superb fries and of course poutine and I thought Spud’s were quite decent. They reminded me of Ottawa chip wagon poutine. Very generous portion with ample curds and sauce and the fries, while they can’t duplicate the potatoes I had in Montreal, were pretty close to excellent. We were very happy and would be happy to try them again. Nice job, Spud Mobeel, and thanks for supporting Pride!
Fries a little over done. The menus been modified for Stampede (I think). I had the Bacon & Cheese Fries, which come with ranch dressing on top and green onions. Things started out ok, it was a pretty good combination of flavours, just maybe a little rich. But the fries were really dark in colour. I dont think they were horribly over cooked, but I didnt end up finishing them all. I am willing to give these guys another try hopefully when their burgers are back on the menu.
