Ive never actually eaten the food here but I have eaten myself sick on their delicious desserts. Basically every type of baked good or cake they have is perfection, my favourite is the red velvet. I personally go out of my way to order them for special occasions, special occasions being I eat it by myself at home watching re runs of friends.
Grabbed a latte after having a delicious salad at the adjacent Greenhouse salads. Not sure if they hike up the price because of location, but coffee wasn’t too bad. Not particularly warm & cozy service. Definitely would not go out of my way to come back. Did not try to food thanks to the warning of past reviewers!
As a student at uofa, this is a good escape from the university cafeterias. The coffee, seating and free wifi is great…the microwaved food on the other hand is not so great but better than the caf
Lunch at the good earth.. Definitely the best coffee and bake shop in the area by far! The service was super friendly and efficient and all of the tasty treats kept me well supplied as I caught up through reading week! =DWhile giving it a top review remember it is not a restaurant. That said the staff did bring my soup to my table.. =3Linda
I frequently visit the Good Earth’s university location and (apart from the mediocre mac and cheese) have never been disappointed. I love their tea lattes and soups, especially the tomato basil pesto.
Terrible. Went to this cafe for the first time the other day. I assumed they had a small latte and so ordered this – pleased that they had non-dairy options. But my momentary good impression dissipated when the unfriendly staff person asked me for close to $4.50. Confused at how a small latte could cost so much, I just paid it, but then asked about the price because I was confused. The server told me they don’t have small, only medium. So why didn’t they tell me this when I placed my order for a small? Instead they just went ahead and charged me for something that I didn’t order. And in the end, the coffee WAS NOT decaf, as I had ordered. And it did not taste good at all.The staff were incredibly snotty and not very welcoming at all. They really looked as if they didn’t want to be there. If they were my staff I would get rid of them in a heart beat, and telling by their online ratings, I can see I’m not alone.
Boooo!. Rude/indifferent staff, over-priced everything, boring and bland food. The coffee wasn’t bad.
