I went to Market Mall last Saturday, the owner was there, she provided very warm and friendly service, very polite with smile entire time. I ordered #4 BBQ Beef and #5 glass noodle with chicken, everything taste amazing, I will go back to try other items next time.
Don’t like being cheated. I have always liked the food here, but last week was short changed a nickel when I paid for the meal. Today, the same thing happened again when I visited. When I pointed this out to the clerk, she told me her boss had instructed her to keep all change less than five cents. When I pointed out to her that was wrong, she shrugged. The nickel was unimportant; discovering the owner of Kim Chi has so little respect for his customers he instructs his people to cheat them means I have bought my last meal there.
Rude staff. I went to the mall on the weekend, my son was hungry and likes noodles so I thought I would get him some. I noticed on the a la carte menu it said noodles 2.00$ and asked about them, the lady at the till was extremely rude, and had a extremely dirty look on her face and told me I couldn’t get that. Then I said is there a smaller portion I dont care what I have to pay and she was very rude again and said no and said something about not being fried, so I went next door to the Greek place and they were very friendly and even gave me samples to let my son try.
Koryo is wayyyy better. Fatty beef. I hate sprouts. Didn’t know there were piles of em under meat. Unfriendly service. No English. Pfffft
Standout foodcourt Korean.. Made a rare-ish trip to Market Mall today and had lunch at Kim Chi in the food court. I had #6, rice cake stir fried with your choice of meat and chose chicken. Spicy. It was fantastic- superb even. The rice cake was beautifully cooked and the toppings including the chicken itself plenty generous. The flavour was a perfect mix of salty-pungent-spicy and I could have eaten two orders of this. I can’t speak to the rest of the menu but it’s going to be a challenge ordering anything else, this was just fantastic. I did not that you can get a host of things a la carte- mandu, rice, kimchee, etc so there are opportunities to sample other items.I’d put this place up there with the basil fried rice at Thai Express, the shrimp dumpling noodle soup at Sukiyaki and the fish burrito at Taco Del Mar as the cream of the crop for foodcourt dishes in Calgary. Very happy I tried it today.
