Often imitated, never duplicated. When I was a kid Orange Julius had a logo that was literally, the Devil. It was cool. And you could get your Julius with a raw egg up until a few years ago (do you cook yours sunny side up? Same thing.) The hotdogs? Meh, it’s just a vehicle for ketchup basically. But I have a kid, and she likes it. They kind of foresaw the whole smoothie trend, I suppose it can sort of be healthy. And DQ? I still like Buster bars. I wouldn’t exactly call it gourmet, but you have to admit there isn’t anyone who does ice cream the way they do. It has a place in our culinary lexicon. Oh, and it’s probably the original Canadian fast food franchise, long before there was ever a MickeyD, the Crown or the Redhead in these parts.
Service can be off and on here, depends on staffing issues I’m sure. Drinks are good, pricey but occasional treat. Hot dogs vary from good to served cold and not worth the price.
