This is called noodle king with a shrimp cake. I come here just for it, there’s 2 types of noodles in it, vermicelli and a thicker egg noodle. Also try their hu tieu ga, chicken in prom broth. Both are awesome lunch foods. I also have the dry pork noodle it’s their house special. All 3 of those item are a 5/5 for me.
Everytime come here is for its special mix egg noodle! It take me forever to remember the flavor! Especially the soup, oh! I never get tired of drinking the soup!
Dong khanh one of my favourite restaurants, if you ever come here their selection is huge but please only order the right food for it to be top quality. Their noodle house special can be done dried as well and recommended. Also try the shrimp cake noodle.
I’ve been coming here for years and love this place! The food is good, Service is decent and the broth of the soup is really flavourful and it fills you up. Give this place a try, they speak Cantonese and Mandarin, so have a friend with you!
I’ve been looking for a Vietnamese restaurant that makes a special noodle dish. I ordered a hu tieu noodle with soup on the side, which consists of a chewy clear noodle (rather than the regular rice noodles) along with the most amazing sides of chewy pork, pork kidney, pork liver, pork (maybe beef) heart, along with a flavorful soup. As you can tell from the sides, it may seem adventurous to some but this was one of the best bowls I’ve ever had. The noodles were amazingly chewy and the amount of sides was enormous. I found the soup a bit salty by itself but with the noodles it matched well. This place is family business and I also noticed some Chiu Chow style noodles on the menu as well. Overall I’m extremely happy with this place and I’m definitely coming more.
Went there today for lunch and arrived at 12:28pm. Was relatively busy but not full by any stretch. Was seated and given tea and a menu. I got up at 12:42pm and left. Was never acknowledged again. Saw multiple staff members clear and clean tables and none of which asked if I wanted to order. I realize this a mom and pop shop but don’t expect good or any service for that matter if they are half full or more. Will never go back.
Strictly the food is one of the best most authentic Vietnamese noodle bowls you can find in the city! I have been going here for over a decade now and crave particularly what they serve here. The food quality has never changed nor the setting. It’s a family ran restaurant. Don’t expect too much service-wise. They’re located in a parking lot within a plaza which makes convenient parking! Definitely a hidden gem!!
