I grew up in Lethbridge and loved going to the New Dynasty. After being away for many years and having returned we decided to order for pick up. We were so very disappointed. The special chow mein was inedible. It looked like the shrimp was made from frozen and was almost completely white and squishy. The noodles were so overcooked and soggy that they were all one big smushy slop. The BBQ pork was grey. Chicken chow mein was tasteless and soggy. The ginger beef was so dry and awful except for the portions that looked like they had ketchup (of all things) poured on them. We basically paid $63 for steamed rice because that is all we could stomache of the meal. It really was that bad. Bad enough for me to write this review.
Had a large group there for a family meal. The service was pretty good. Our server was a little aggressive but reasonable. We asked to have larger dishes prepared and was assured by Donnie that a single (not larger than average) dish was enough for a table of 8 people. It wasn’t. Pretty disappointing that we didn’t get enough food and we actually don’t eat that much (except for the teenagers). The quality of the food was ok but certainly not fabulous. Not a good combination. Don’t want to go back again if that’s what we’re going to get. We went a month ago with 6 people and the quality and portion size was much better. Maybe they are just unable to deal with groups. Too bad.
Best Chinese food in the city by far!. We love the New Dynasty. Donny is a great guy, he remembers his guests and treats us awesomely. The food is always fresh and tasty. We appreciate that most dishes have no MSG and the few dishes that do, contain very little MSG. If you like Wor Won Ton, you will LOVE the New Dynasty version! If you want the best quality Chinese food for a reasonable price, then New Dynasty is the place. The buffet is also great, wonderful variety and includes desserts!
Just aweful. I honestly have no idea how this place can have customers.Really expensive and taste horrible. Ordered singapore noodles which were rubbery and not like any other singapore noodles i ever had before. The chow mein was a joke, a big pile of cabbage with some beef sprinkled on it and to top it of, some under cooked orange little pieces of noodles. yuck. Also ordered the Lemon chicken.. lemon sauce gross and not tasting like lemon at all. Breading soaking wet and falling off, chicken was like rubber. Also pork balls hard and rubbery, tasted like they were a week old. Just an awful and expensive experience. Needless to say we are never ordering from them again.
Discusted….. There food is Alright Sub par, They alow random people to just walk into the kitchen that arent even staff, and the way they treat there staff is horrible I have seen them hire people and then fire them and accuse them with horrible things infront of customers, to make themselfs look good, they will belittle there staff infront of customers, they make gordon ramsliey look like a saint.
Take out. Had the group dinner for 4 the ginger beef was excellent. The rest was good as well. Ordered sweet and sour pork and it was gross, the sauce was ok but the meat was not. Over all was good and would order from there again. No freebies and you don’t get as much as other places , but it was good. My daughter says the best chinese ever.
Biggest mistake.. ordering from New Dynasty. Ordered the Dinner for 2 (B).. which was to include deep fried shrimp. Substituted the Chow Mein, for dried ribs. Order arrived…. No shrimp… No dried ribs… just Chow Mein, and Fried Rice. … for $33.29. Called to complain about no shrimp and no dried ribs…Was told they would send that stuff ‘quickly’.. .. still took close to an hour. WILL NEVER EVER order from there again !
