I want to like the owl. They do so much, and they’re nice and fun and I’m pretty sure the owner guy is literally a real vampire which is cool and all, but I just don’t like the owl. I like what I imagined them to be before I went there, but then I went there. 🙁 their gin options suck, and I really like gin. Just get a good gin. I’d heard a lot of people say good things before I went here, and after I was disappointed I now can’t find anyone who likes it there. I don’t know. Maybe I’m just old.
I need to come to Lethbridge more often. I was in town for a gig (not at the Owl) and felt like listening to some local talent. Great vibes in that place and a pretty decent beer selection. When we sat down we got a poutine menu. You could make your own poutine or choose from some of the pre-made selections. So I went with the meatball poutine. Some of the meatballs around the edge were a little cold, but for the most part it was fantastic. The band was really good that night too.
