Tried this place on holiday on the long weekend. Disappointed overall. Menu was nothing special at all, prices were high and decor is not very jungle theme but more old one type comic book theme. We got two kids meals and one app for my husband and I to share and it came to $60, no alcohol beverages. For what we got, mostly all deep fried food, I felt ripped off. If the theme and experience was fun, then it’s more okay, but it wasn’t. Service was good but didn’t make up for lack of quality.
Went there today. Sat 10 min and no device at all. It was not busy and waitresses were just standing at the bar chatting. Got up and left. Very disappointed
I would have voted 0 if that was an option. This restaurant was probably one of the biggest eating disappointments we have ever experienced. We eat out often, so I know the drill for various restaurants. While visiting west Ed mall we were looking for Julius bario and stumbled across jungle jims. We thought it looked more kid friendly then the piano bar down the way… So we chose to go there (we regret not going to the piano bar) We ordered a plate of nachos which cost $16.99. The chips were uncooked and it looked like it was for 1 person serving. I mentioned to the server that most of the nacho chips were soggy and uncooked and he replied yah that’s to bad can I grab anything else for you? Maybe just the bill. Usually in this scenario you would think that getting uncooked food would either warrant a replacement or discount.. Which he offered neither. The food is exorbitantly overpriced and there are a million other places to eat in that mall that will leave you 100% more satisfied.
Poor quality food thrown together with minimal effort. Worst Guacamole I’ve ever eaten. If you’re considering eating here, don’t, go to BP’s across the way.
Deep fried apple cinnamon cheesecake *drool*. Was in Edm for business last week, and stopped in here for dinner as we don’t have this place in Calgary. All 3 of us ordered the 3 course meal, which was a heck of a deal at $18 each. We also ordered taquitos to start, which were never brought out. When we received our mains we asked, and the waitress said that she forgot them. She didn’t offer to bring them on the house or any sort of apology. We werent expecting anything amazing from here, but the food was fine. The Queso sticks were interesting. Tasted like they were coated in Old Dutch jalapeno & cheddar chips (I didnt hate it, but a bit weird). Enchiladas were not as saucy as I would have liked, but large portion size served with rice. The deep fried cheesecake. Wow. I had the apple cinnamon, which was clearly the best of the 3 (we each got one). Not only was it filled with the creamcheese mixture, but the little cheesecake taquitos are rolled in cinnamon sugar fresh out of the fryer – heaven! I finished off that plate 🙂 We chose this restaurant because the other ‘nicer’ ones had lines. So, if in the area again, I might stop in again. Good value, good portion sizes.
Terrible. Food is bad, service is worse. They serve beef dips with watered down gravy as opossed to au juice. Barf!!!
Wonderful place.. Great food – great service – no complaints – these guys have it right & do it right…
