I’ve had traditional Mexican food on many occasions. The reviews about Mariachi tote the fact it’s traditional Mexican cuisine – the reason we went. Knowingly it’s not Tex Mex, it should be spiced uniquely at least. I have never had so much salt in an entire dish – it completely overpowered anything. The guacamole had little avocado in it and consisted of mainly onion and tomato. We were really disappointed.

Totally don’t understand the bad rating for this place, we ordered takeout twice and we ate in once, and it was great every time. The guacamole was fresh and amazing, large portion, and the seafood stuffed pineapple is super awesome.

Guacamole, Carne Asada, Carnita Torta, Lengua and Chorizo Tacos, Burrito El Mariachi, EnchiladasEl Mariachi on 124st is a spot I drive by all the time. Tasted a bunch of food here, started with some guac and chips. Good guac, and already better than the neon goop that Calle Mexico has. Carne Asada dish had beans, guac, onions and roasted jalapenos. Was just aight. Carnita Torta had a really good flavor. Roasted pork was delicious and it wasnt overloaded with too much lettuce. The bread used for the torta was pretty dope as well, soft and delicious. Lengua (beef tongue) and Chorizo tacos were also just ok. I didnt really get that good strong flavor from other beef tongue Ive had but the tacos had were doubled up so the fillings wouldnt fall through after putting on some hot sauce. Pro move by El Mariachi. Burrito El Mariachi was a big burrito meant for fork and knife eating. It had ham, sausage, lettuce, avocado, tomato, onion, pineapple, topped with jalapeno and sour cream. All the vegs were pretty good but the meat in this burrito were pretty low quality. Enchiladas were surprisingly good. Had a really good mole, and was served with lettuce and rice. This dish was probably the best the entire meal.Service here was average and really friendly. Restaurant was decked out in lots of Mexican flair. Its ok to try and definitely a better choice than Calle Mexico which might be the only competition to El Mariachi. Dissapointed that there were no dessert to this extensive menu.Sal says: Just Try It@colingrimard says: 3/3. Best mole sauce I’ve ever had. Tortas are delicious. Nice selection of hot sauces. Get the horchata, skip the coffee. Bathroom 2/3.
