A few nights ago we had dinner at Bazille in Nordstrom. Overall it was really good! The restaurant wasn’t busy at all and the service was great! The restaurant has a laid back feel that we really liked. We started with the calamari appetizer. It was lightly battered and nice and crispy. The sauce that came with it was really good, it was lemongrass sweet chili and it went really well with the calamari. I had the shrimp linguini with spicy tomato sauce as my entree and it was delicious! The shrimp was a bit tough but the sauce was so good! I would definitely order it again. My fianc got the crab macaroni and cheese. I tried it and it was just ok. Very creamy but was lacking flavour. It almost needed a bit of a sharper cheese in it. Our friends got the prime rib French dip and the peppered steak poutine and shared the brick oven Brussels sprouts. They had good things to say about everything with the exception of the Kalamata olive aioli that came with the fries. It tasted weird to all of us though to be fair I think 3/4 of us are not olive fans. The service was great, we would definitely come back!
This is a great stop after a day of shopping, definitely much better than a food court meal, albeit a bit more expensive. We decided to stop in after shopping at Nordstrom and we each ordered a sandwich – my husband the croque madame and I got the chicken club, both came with a side of their delicious fries and an olive aioli, which we really liked. We were also given complimentary bread and olive oil to start. The service was also great!
I always booked a reservation with Bazille online just to skip the line up. Love the ambiance of this restaurant. No issues at all with the food or service, both excellent. They put the calories beside what you’re ordering, so no more guilt-free order of bread pudding because thats 1370 cal .
We arrived at 8:15 for our reservation and waited until 8:20 to be accidentally acknowledged by a server who just happened to look towards the door. Initially we were sat by the bar in a cozy booth but the kitchen made it very noisy and not an ideal space for a date so we asked to move. Our servers changed and I can’t say we were very happy with either of them even with only a first impression from the first one. While overlooking our menu our server seemed really eager to make us order and it made us quite uncomfortable and felt rushed. We ordered the Roasted Chicken Pommes Frites and the Roasted Chicken with Angel Hair pasta. The dishes were amazing and made the dinner more enjoyable. Though our server was constantly interrupting us and we became quite annoyed. I finished my meal and my accompanying guest had but while grabbing my plate off the edge of the table the server asked us if we wanted a dessert menu though my partner was still eating. We finished our meals with a little bit of distaste from the service but amazing meals overall. Hopefully next time we get a better server.
This is really nice lounging restaurant, great view, great food and great staff. If definitely recommend the ahi tuna poke! Everything we ordered tasted very fresh was service was quick. It’s a nice place to come for brunch or to hang out after a long day of shopping!
First time here for their lunch and it was very delicious! I ordered the turkey sandwich and it came with fries and an olive dip. Very flavourful and good price point for lunch. My other half ordered the prime rib French dip with side of the crab bisque and oh my gosh so good!!!! We of course shared our dishes like always! I can say the prime rib was hella juicy.Service was friendly. The one thing I don’t really care for are the total calories listed by each dish on menu. Some may find that great, but I don’t care for it so much bc i don’t count calories when I’m dining out.Actually looking forward to going back on our next mall visit.
We went to nordstrom’s to shop and thought we instead of walking to the food court we would try the restaurant at Nordstrom’s. We went with a group of five and unfortunately they didn’t have a table to accommodate us so they added chair at the end of our booth which was fine. I ordered the shrimp linguine which was about $21 and let me just tell you it was a complete rip off! Maybe 1 cup of pasta, 6 prawns in a really big bowl and super bland- I could have made it at home for $5! We also ordered the steak poutine – which was average, and the Marguerita pizza which was bland as well. All in all, for those 3 dishes and two drinks we paid $60 bucks- totally not worth it in tea of value! I would recommend just walking to the food court.
