Cheap! Not in the good way!. All I will say is… where is the avocado? I can’t believe how cheap this place is. I have come so many times in the last 6 months and they never put avocado when there should be!
Usually like this place a lot but ordered maki combo today and it looks like they cheaped out on avocado in the California roll, as in no avocado and just more rice and the beef one had less filling and more rice. Highly disappointed especially for the price you pay.
Totally unsatisfactory. Had my order misplaced and even after letting them know the order was taking a long time, I ended up waiting 45 minutes for take out. So much for express. After bringing the order home, a 10 minute drive, it was barely warm, which added to the greasy, mundane flavour. I will avoid ever going back and would not recommend this establishment to anyone. Very poor service and food quality.
Worst service ever!! I LOVE Tokyo Express- but this location is horrible. I have tried ordering from this location twice, giving them the benefit of the doubt– but ended up leaving both times due to rude customer service.Most recently:I ordered a Bento Box and wanted Tempura, but I am allergic to shrimp so I asked them for all vegetarian tempura. They said no and that they could not substitute for any reasons. The girl behind the counter was extremely rude and I ended up walking out.I love Toykyo Express in Old Strathcona, but if you want bad service and people who do not care about food allergies … Go to this location.
This place is fast and delicious! I’ve been there many times and have never had problems with the service they even bring my meal to me when they are not busy 🙂
Place to Avoid!!. For any discerning sushi fans, avoid this place (and probably all locations in this chain) all items offered here are pre-made, probably offsite. small,stale, unappetizing portions of salmon and tuna sushi…..noodle dishes were cold and stale……the service was distracted and disinterestedall in all, a thoroughly unpleasant experience….at the same prices as legitimate sushi barsCRAP !!
