Good food and service. Try the deep fried pickles or brussel sprouts. Oysters are delicious. Enjoyed the lobster Mac and cheese. Fish and chips and mussel/clam dishes are great. Seafood salad is okay.
Love this place! Nestled in a small community in Abbotsford, this place has become a cult favourite amongst people who live nearby. With a cozy atmosphere and outstanding food (particularly their seafood, which was so fresh I swear it was still swimming around this morning) that left me satisfied and planning my next visit.
I finished late , and not familiar with the city , I called to inquire about menu, location and hours , all answered with a smile ,very courteous , on my way in I met a happy enthusiastic young gentleman leaving the Bow and Stern , I asked what he ate and would recommend , Jordan .suggested the salmon , I was greeted warmly at entrance , seat promptly . I had the oysters on the half shell and the salmon , perfect meal great service and reasonable price , I give the experience a 9
My girlfriend and I arrived at The Bow and Stern on a busy Friday night with no reservation. Despite not having a designated area for customers to wait, the staff handled the rush efficiently and we were seated within fifteen minutes.Our orders were taken fairly quickly, and our food and drinks arrived in a timely fashion. My Whiskey Sour was perfect, but my girlfriend’s Old Fashioned was a little strong. The Calimari was good, if a little overpriced for what you got.It was our anniversary, so we treated ourselves to the Hot Seafood Platter for 2. Consisting of a lobster tail, crab legs, a piece of salmon, a piece of halibut, a dozen prawns, and a pile of clams and mussels on a generous bed of pepper pilaf, our entre arrived fairly quickly. While the lobster tail was a little light on the meat and the halibut was a tad dry, everything else about this dish was amazing. My girlfriend despises cooked salmon, and she loved every bite of this salmon.The Fried Ice Cream is larger than you think it’s going to be, so I advise you to consider sharing this dessert.All in all, the only thing we didn’t like about this restaurant was how loud it was, but it quieted down as the night went on.TL:DR: 10/10 would eat here again.
Very good food, service was great, price reasonable. Ceviche (prawn) and Caesar salad. Deep fried Brussels sprouts are fabulous! The ambiance is rather nice and relaxed, too. We will return!

This is my new favorite seafood restaurant in the lower mainland. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff is professional and thoughtful, and the food is delicious. Happy hour is from 2 to 5 and it is a buck a shuck with a wide assortment of fresh oysters. The crab salad was amazing! So much fresh and shelled crab on it – good value at $16. You could share it with 4 people as a starter or have it as a big meal.
