Tried on basis of the many favourable reviews. Yes the staff were friendly and portions large but that is not enough to rate Very Good as the food quality was.plain average
you know you’re in the right place when they serve all day breakfasts and the local customers are all working people. split pea soup was perfect for a cool day, and battered cod with fries was great.
My husband and I go down here probably once a month. The tables are set up family style so be prepared to sit with others and engage in conversation. The food is home cooked style, prices are great and so is the food.
