Located in the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, The Grill Room is definitely the nicest, fanciest and best place for steak. If you are hungry, the 20 oz bone in rib eye is the best. We had the amazing seafood platter which was pricey but YOLO. The side dishes were delicious too. Definitely be back the next time we are in Whistler.
I am writing this review while the details are still fresh in my mind. I made a reservation based on feedback left here and I can say that I wasn’t disappointed. I did mention to the waiter that we were at whistler while we were on our honeymoon. My husband and I ordered the 14oz of Rib Eye, and for the table we had the cauliflower, the mushrooms and the scallops. Because our steak was ordered to be medium to well done, Adam, our server who I only have positive things to say, organise a gin and mushroom soup to be cooked right in front of us, (the soup was on the restaurant) there everyone knew we were there to celebrate. We ordered just the right amount of food just because I wanted to have dessert and Adam again surprised us with a dish that contains small pieces of chocolate with different flavours, two small tarts and hand made sign that said Congratulations. I think I got one of the best services I had ever received in my entire life and of course as my husband would say I happy wife is happy life. I will definitely come back to this place again as it is my plans to come back to Whistler.

Tried the $41 three course menu. Fabulous foods with fantastic staffs. Course has one appi, one main with choice of veg and sauce, and desert. Great selection of wines. Was offered small plate of chefs complimentary appi, fresh basket of bread with two kinds of butter, and everyone gets cotton candy at the end! Must try. One of the best deal in whistler!
60 day dry aged steaks the best in bc, and we had a great english waiter, simply fantastc all around, biggest surprise was in cheap cost off the steaks.
Fantastic. My hubby and I had a fantastic experiance. We got all dressed up for a special night out and we weren’t disappointed. The service was exceptional on all levels. The we orginally selected wasn’t avaiable, we asked for a recommendation and it did not dissappoint. it was fatastic. The atmosphere was lovely. Very pretty. And then the food…..soooo good. The duck and steak just melted in your mouth. The beets were unlike anything I’ve tried before. Just everything was so yummy. I’m not one for dropping a ton of money on food, but this experiance was so fantasic, I look forward to doing it again and bringing friends next time. No hesitations in recommending this classy establishment to anyone.
