Their fondue dinners are probably one of the things that I suggest to anyone visiting Whistler to try. It is absolutely delicious and great value. We paired it with a Sleigh Ride for a romantic evening. Definite must do!

Beautiful patio ruined by rude waiter. Having spent the the morning biking, we (a party of 5) were really looking forward to a Sunday brunch at The Den. Our waiter was less than friendly from the start. His impatience with having 2 children (8 yrs. and 12 yrs.) was clearly obvious. The daily menu options were not given, and his impatience with each one of us as we ordered was once again clearly demonstrated. The food arrived in a timely fashion, however I was not given a spoon. I was told a spoon was coming, but it did not arrive until I requested a spoon a second time. By this time my soup was cold. Upon receiving the bill, I noticed that the wine was over charged by 3.00 – not a lot of money, but annoying none the less. The food was good, but I would not put it n the excellent category – it is glorified pub food served with white cloth napkins. The view really becomes moot point when service is less than adequate. The service industry is based on service – without individuals who love what they do and are gracious in their service towards the guests they host, they should seriously consider a career change. In conclusion, I will not be returning as my experience is not one I wish to repeat.
I would have loved to try the food here as i have heard and read good things. However when me and my wife tried to eat here, we were completely ignored by staff. The restaurant wasnt busy by any means in fact the staff out numbered the guests and yet not a single staff member even acknowledged us . We did however have a decent meal that evening, just not at the den.
We stopped here during a 10 km hike and were pleasantly surprised! The food was amazing and portions were huge! I normally don’t eat fries but ordered them along with my sandwich. They were delisicious!! Our waitress was friendly and nice. We didn’t feel too out of place with all the golfers as other hikers stopped by too. Tho I suppose their Tuesday discounts only apply to members of the club because although we went on a Tuesday and saw the deals we did not receive any discounts on our bill.
Summer or Winter: A Great Dining Experience. I have frequented the Den on number of occasions. In the winter their dining rooms offers everything from fine dining to pub fare and sensational fondu dinners. In the summer their patio is the best in Whistler. Views of golfers teeing off or of scenic Green Lake are second to none. An abolute slam dunk regardless of what your’re looking for. You won’t be dissappointed.
