Small restaurant off the beaten path (under the Mongolie Grill in the movie theatre). Good price, good specials, good portions. Love the chef’s Mac’n Cheese!
Food was decent and at a reasonable price . Service wasn’t respectable to say the least! We are three young travellers that are all in the hospitality industry at home, disappointed to see little effort put in and frustrating that tipping is mandatory.
Good for a weekend dinner, one of the few sit down places in Whistler without a half hour wait. My oxtail pastie was delish, classic comfort food as advertised. The pastry was flaky and buttery, the filling soft and tender, and the accompanying sauce delicious. My only complaint would be the mushrooms. Not sure what they were there for. They were cooked very simply, without much flavor and didn’t complement the rest of the dish very well, even when dipped in the sauce.
Very poor service but the food was good at a good price. Just plan on being ignored. Oh and you will smell like grease when you leave. I guess they have poor ventilation so plan on washing your clothes.
Food was below expectations – looking for a nice meal and was disappointed. Venue looks nice though. Management was lacking leadership and they were definitely understaffed for the amount of tables they had.
Mediocre food.. Cool and inviting menu and interior, but the food fell short of our expectations. My bottle of beer was barely cold (sinful!) and our appy of loaded garlic bread was so-so. Although my main of butter chicken was decent, it was served in a rather cumbersome way and nobody else at the table really enjoyed what they got. From what I’ve read, it’s best to stick to the place upstairs.
Definately be coming back. Great value for money. Fantastic, home-style fresh food. Especially loved the butter chicken, lasagna and ribs( soo tender). And best bit we went on a Monday so got the ribs for $10…. Apparentely they run that offer every Monday! Awsome.
