We came for lunch on a rainy Saturday and it was cozy, clean and great service. Lovely ambiance. Food was fresh. We didn’t bother asking for our rolls with no mayo but we were happy to see that the Cali roll and dynamite had very little mayo in them anyway. Generous portions, fresh fish, attentive service and very delicious! Great stop after shopping at Park Royal.
This is a very nice restaurant to find decent priced food along with many choices. The first time I ordered there, I complained about their nigiri having too much rice. They accepted the complain very nicely and ever since then, I have never been disappointed at their food. They are such nice people and they overall have great customer service.
The entrance is decorated with what looks like drawings by children. I asked what those were, and they said that they saved all the drawings drawn by customers and pasted it on the wall. They were such sweet people, I loved the service. They treated each and every customers with honesty. The chef managed to remember so many of the customers’ names. I was surprised. I give the 5 star mostly for their great service. I loved their food also. I think I’ll go back there more often.
I love sushi and can proudly say that I have been to most Japanese restaurants in Vancouver. I tried this place out for the first time just a few days ago. I had a go of their midori roll with salmon roll wrapped with cucumber. It had a wasabi sauce glazed on top, and I just loved it! This place also had great service with the chef constantly smiling back at us and waitress coming to check up on us at appropriate times. Next time, I’m in West Vancouver, I would definitely go back here.
This place is my go to for sushi. I highly recommend this place for others if you’re looking for somewhere quiet, peaceful, best quality food, and good portions. I asked the server and she said this restaurant has been around for 40 YEARS, no wonder they have such antique interior which makes the whole restaurant’s atmosphere calm and appealing. Another great thing about this restaurant is that they don’t use mayo in rolls as much as other Japanese restaurants. I usually order caterpillar roll which I personally think is the best roll here, it is beautifully portioned. The nigiri sushis are always fresh. I highly recommend this place for any type of days with any type of people – business meeting, family outing, or a date.
My favorite neighborhood joint. Volcano roll comes out flaming, deep fried ice cream. This place is consistent. Actually Japanese run. The sushi is solid. tons of regulars. Super friendly staff. Very welcoming to families with small kids. 100s of pictures drawn by the little ones are visible on both sides as you walk up to the entrance. Private booths where you take your shoes off and enjoy your dining experience.You have to try it at least once
Best sushi on the north shore. A little more expensive but after trying most of the others we are sticking with Jason and his great food.
