Awesome Pad Thai & Seafood Stir-fry! Had my first visit there yesterday (take-out) and I was not disappointed. I’ll definitely go back again.
Great Family Reastaurant. Family run and authentic for a great price. Owner is a great guy and his daughter graduated from UBC with Commerce degree helps out. The food is fantastic, take out is also fantastic. We go there for lunch and dinner. Very reasonable prices and good ambience. The head Host has a great sense of humor. Cheap and cheerful, and great flavours.
Disappointing. When Pudpong first opened, we thoroughly our meals there. The menu was fresh, varied and tasty and the service always delightful. Recently, we had another meal there – our chicken satay starter was tough although the satay sauce was o.k. We ordered a vegetable dish, but unfortunately didn’t read the fine print and it arrived with the same or similar sauce doused over all. The vegetables were tender crisp and nicely done. Our third dish was a prawn dish but luckily we noticed it too was going to have peanut sauce on it so we were able to change our order for black bean sauce. That was good – but our dish arrived with the same vegetables as our other dish with half a dozen prawns which were slightly overcooked. The service however, was great.

Disappointed. We have tried this place a couple of times in hopes that the original experience was just an off night for the restaurant but after several dinners at Pudong I can say the food is not a great example of Thai cuisine.
Great lunch spot!. Love this place. They have a lovely lunch special which includes a salad and entree. I find that its a good portion size. If you’re really hungry, a half order of spring rolls should hit the spot. I usually get the vegetable pad thai, and it’s always delicious; good flavour, right amount of sauce and vegetables, noodles cooked right. One of the best things about the restaurant is the server, an older gentleman, his comments and little jokes always make me smile. If you ask for water, you get the ‘Chateau Capilano’. 🙂
