Consistently excellent comfort food! Only wish it was easier to get a seat during the lunch rush…their skillet breakfasts are really tasty. With it being so popular, it can be a bit noisy. Make sure to check their hours so you wont be disappointed.
What a hidden gem in Chilliwack! There seems to be not too many choices that are opened for Sunday, and especially not for a long weekend, but we managed to find one around an industrial area and what a surprise. It has the vibe of of a classic American diner. Busy, packed, and large portions. There was a wait at an hour before closing but we didn’t wait long before we got seated. The prices were reasonable and the portion was filling. We settled on brunch but within me I was conflicted between eggs vs. Cookie’s burger. My brunch skillet came with two eggs of my choice and I chose poached as the dish already comes with a hollandaise sauce. It was fabulous because under the layer of rich hollandaise sauce there is melted cheese and chunks of potatoes, bell pepper, ham and mushroom. In hindsight I think I would have preferred shredded hash which was another option you could choose from. Overall, it was a very hearty breakfast especially because I also chose to have it come along with waffle sticks which was deep fried and sprinkled generously with cinnamon sugar. My friend ordered the waffle Benedict and she commented that the waffle was fluffy and sensational with maple syrup. If you ever find yourself in Chilliwack en route to cultus lake, Chilliwack lake or Lindeman Lake, stop by Cookie’s Grill for a bite.
