Great restaurant, was recommended by friends and came out from Vancouver. Was well worth it, the best sushi I have had. Large variety of sushi and other asian dishes. The staff gave great recommendations and took their time with us. The presentation was first class, and the atmosphere is great for family and friends. This is not your average run of the mill sushi restaurant, fresh food, high quality ingredients, great service and a nice new building with easy parking. Not to be missed!
We’ve been going to Hana sushi for over a decade, and went to Gon while they were rebuilding after the fire. My mother is friends with the owner, but regardless of who’s working at the time our food has almost always been perfect. The two times I can think of where our food was a little less then expected were both during heavy rushes, so it’s understandable.Staff can sometimes seem a bit busy, but the food will always be fresh and delicious!
Wow, has this place ever gone downhill! We used to go to the old restaurant before the complex burned down. The food wasawesome. Nice atmosphere too.Probably was our favorite sushi restaurant in Chilliwack.Went there the other day, we each got a lunch box (California roll, tempura, etc.). They were gross! The California rolls were chewy, like they were made a while ago and refrigerated. My teriyaki beef was kind of grisly and gross, wife’s chicken teriyaki was also fatty, crunchy and just yuck. Tempura had a rubbery batter on it, not fluffy/crunchy like normal. Basically everything was just gross. The best part of the meal was probably the pickled ginger. We both ate the food as we were starving, but agreed that we will probably never go back. Also the atmosphere in the new place is terrible! It’s very undecorated, plain, and industrial looking. More like walking into a tire shop than a restaurant.
