Don’t let the other reviews put you off. Well I was happily impressed with this one. Simple yet fantastic little sandwiches from the deli I couldn’t recommend any higher the prosciutto sandwich with balsamic vinegar (lower pic) my wife had this and it was sublime. My mouth is salivating reminiscing.Cute little cafe to stop and have a snack, make sure to browse the fantastic products while they make your sandwich. I really don’t have much else to say, it did exactly what we expected and more! Great staff friendly and inviting, excellent big green olives on the side and San Pellegrino to wash it all down what more could you want from your Italian deli?? GO there NOW!! PS: I saw the other rather unkind reviews on here perhaps it was a bad day but we had fantastic service from those same ladies, warm inviting and kind. I just want to stick up for them and say thanks for the great service.
Poor customer service. Sunday Nov 4 2012I shop here every 2 weeks stocking up on my Italian favorites and drop by occasionally for ingredients for my Italian dishes. I went in this Sunday to purchase 2 slices of Prosciutto and 2 slices of Swiss cheese for a recipe I was making. I have never in my life had such bad customer service and to boot from the owner herself. She said to me that there was a 100 gram minimum for the Prosciutto and cheese. I replied I dont need 100 grams and she just stood until I said forget it and left. If she is so miserable perhaps she should sell her business. She has lost my business and I will tell everyone not to shop there. I am married to an Italian who has been in Canada for 8 years now a he even said what kind of Italian is she, no smile, miserable face and an attitude. With customer service like this I am so surprised she even has any business I will go to Hastings Street to make my purchases from real friendly Italians who appreciate your business
Made in China. I’m sorry, but when I’m shopping at a deli I’m expecting food that is somewhat authentic. European gourment food made in China, come on. Also, the loaf of bread we bought was disgustingly stale. They aren’t friendly either. A couple of miserable women work there. There are better options nearby, such as Inno.
