This place has some really strange interior decor… I ordered their wonton soup- everything about it was underwhelming. The broth was almost water with barely any flavour and the wontons were just okay- don’t remember what kind of mix of meat was in it but also almos flavourless. Service was okay. Would not recommend.
Quite average dimsum here at Rainbow Butterfly. We have been experimenting all dimsum places nearby. It was different as the seating is not like a typical chinese restaraunt instead it’s booths more like an American restaraunt would be. Grand Palace is my go to dimsum place in town!
HORRIBLE customer service and very average food. Did a pick up and 2 out of the 3 orders were wrong, called them and they wanted me to drive back and give them the food and offered no apology or solution. With so many other options in the area not sure why anyone would go here.
I went to this restaurant ever since I moved to Port Coquitlam (~15 years now) as it was a decent and close Chinese restaurant to home so why not. One day, I came in with my family to find not only one thing, but two things in two separate dishes that we ordered. One of the dishes (noodle stir dry) had a plastic string in it (almost disguised as the food itself) and the other (a veggie dish) had a bug in it. I understand that in the most unlikely event, this can happen in restaurants so I notified the owner and he took it away and didn’t even offer to provide another one as a replacement. As I got up to pay, the owner said he no longer will serve myself and my family. I’ve been going to this place for more than 10 years and all they could’ve done was apologize, but instead I received some disrespectful attitude and a surprise comment that I don’t even understand why I got it. All in all, I do not recommend this restaurant, I’d rather drive off a couple of km’s to find a nicer restaurant with a better customer service than this place. I’m highly disappointed.
Honestly, I cant believe the audacity of the service here. The food wasnt all that good either. Went for a birthday and the service was rude, negligent and they yelled at us because they were closing, meanwhile they didnt give us any warning or heads up and just started screaming and being incredibly rude when the first we were told of them closing was 1 min before – not a mention before that. Ive never been so insulted at any restaurant in all my life! WILL NEVER RETURN…EVER!!! And personally will report them too the BBB. Utterly disgusted…
atmosphere did not have an authentic vibe at all. Food took to long for something that wasnt even good. if you want fast service and quality food, dont come here.
One of the best for dim sum without going downtown or to Richmond. The wonton in chili sauce is amazing and I want to buy the sauce by the gallon.
