I’ve probably eaten here a hundred times because it’s right by my work. The staff is super friendly and efficient. I also love that their maki rolls come in either regular or giant size. Keep an eye on their roll combos for good value. Their special roll combo is very popular because it gives you a sample of 5 different special rolls at an affordable price. Nigiri and sashimi are done well and the food is always presented with respect. It’s a very solid option, you won’t be disappointed.
Best Sushi in Port Coquitlam. Yam Tempura roll is made fresh and whole cut pieces of yam with pieces of cucumber to add an extra crunch. Other places mash the yam and let it be cold, which we don’t like.
Good sushi at good prices. The spicy roll combo was fresh and unlikemany other places the portionwas adequate. The Teriyaki combo was also good though with no rice included it was a bit odd. The place is fairly small but service was good.
had lunch there on labor day. ordered 3 things. rice was a little too sticky and the roll was COVERED in sauce and panko crumbs. not bad. not great. too many sushi places in poco but they all must bow down to Kamizato. everyone else is a wannabe. would i go back? maybe on a monday for lunch. great staff.
Had a nice meal – nice presentation of food with generous use of fruit garnishes (avocados, lemon slices..). Overall fresh ingredients prepared with skill and attention to detail. Unique takes on the usual selections, e.g salmon toro with garnish of chopped green onion / jalapeo (?); Poco roll is like a unique take on dynamite and california roll with a punch of smokiness from sauce. The only complaint would be too much rice with the nigiri; I prefer less rice so I can eat more!
Came here today for first time !! All I can say is amazing real sushi and friendly service !! The only downside is how small it is inside and not enough space for anyone! Great customer service. Chef was trained professionally in Japan (he can even prepare the poisonous Japanese blowfish) and the server was very kind to usFood was good and fresh, overall, the customer service was fantastic! Nice bunch of people.
