Tasty, Tempting & Varied. Artisan Cafe is a welcoming spot for a mid-day meal or a rainy day treat, You can get comfy on the couch and read by the fire, or plug in your computer and get to work. But, really, it’s about the food. Artisan has some of the best sandwiches, salads, soups and French pastries to be found anywhere. It’s like something you might find on Granville Island, but with nicer views! You’re as likely to see moms and kids here as tourists, or local business owners chatting about politics and the weather. It’s a lovely spot..
Terrible. They should update their website to inform people traveling there that they DO NOT SERVE FOOD AFTER 3. The website says open till 5 but you can only order until 3. Unless of course you would like a day old sandwich sitting in their deli window or some soup. Extremely disappointed and never coming back. Advise all just to save yourself the trip and go somewhere else.
Food is hit or miss. Great view. Always packed. Long wait times.
Poor Service and Inconsistent Food Serving Size!. Artisan Eats on Bowen Island, BC has poor service. The food is so-so, but not top of the world. The view is beautiful. That’s about it! The serving sizes are inconsistent. The servers are constantly changing except a French(?) girl. They are always busy talking among themselves than serving customers. This is not a peaceful place to eat for the servers are loud. The owner is abrupt and blunt when I was inquiring about the food. Overall, it is a so-so place if you have no where to go, but with the price I paid for my food, I won’t subject myself to such poor customer service. It is a take-it or leave-it type of place.
It is on the pricey side but it is the best place for lunch on Bowen. The tomato basil soup is heavenly. The staff are friendly and patient even under pressure.
This is my favorite daytime eats .. Great selection .. Best breakfast on Bowen .. Nice social hangout with great views of the mountains and ocean .. Excellent staff .. Pick up a loaf of the chipmunk bread always fresh and healthy ..
Food was excellent and everything tasted fresh and well made. I wasn’t impressed with the delivery method; took forever to order and staff are often running around trying to find the right table to bring the food too, why they don’t use number signs for the tables/parties I don’t know. That being said it is often very busy during meal time, it is just a cafe, and the food was tasty enough that I would go back regardless of the service offering.
