Doc’s has re-opened as of spring 2015 under the management of the original owner’s daughter. After many years of unsuccessful leases, the original Doc Morgans is BACK. Many of the old favourite menu items are back on the menu, the original crowded chowder, club med sandwich, even the mexi dip. Children are allowed in the pub, service is good and by all reports, the food is consistently yummy! the locals are loving this.

Open Under New Management. Doc Morgan’s has reopened under new management effective May 1st, 2013. Our goal is to provide both locals and tourists with an experience that will put them in touch with what the beautiful Bowen Island has to offer. By serving BC brewed craft beer from Howe Sound Brewing and the freshest local grub from the Howe Sound region, we hope our customers will see the effort we have put in to making Doc Morgan’s a staple in the community once again. The summer of 2013 will feature weekly events, live music, a fun and comfortable atmosphere, and the most breathtaking views on the West Coast. Owners cater more to tourists and boaters .. They are arrogant and don’t realize that winters can be long and lonely without local support.. Limited menu..overpriced..the ship is sinking at docs
Terrible service. I was disgusted with the rude nature of the staff at this restaurant. We simply wanted a post-hike beer and instead were treated with disrespect. Unfortunately given the great patio at this place…
Don’t bother! Don’t take credit or debit so had to hike to the general store to use the ATM. Specials listed on the chalkboard were sold out and waitress was slow and incompetent. Couple beside us received a dirty wineglass with lipstick on it. Ambiance is beautiful and if only going on the patio for drinks then I’d recommend it. Food was tasty but the kitchen was finicky about what was available on the menu and food took forever. Would definitely try one of the other restaurants on Bowen, never going back to Doc’s again!
BEST PATIO ON BOWEN ISLAND. This restaurant HANDS DOWN had the best patio on Bowen Island! The service was AMAZING and can not wait to go back for more than just drinks!
