We went on a lazy Sunday morning and decided to first eat here before starting our hike. We got duck pancakes and Roast chicken sandwich. They told us it will take 20 min for the food to come and that they will bring it to our table. But after half an hour we finally went in to check. We saw what looked like our order on the kitchen counter so we asked them and they told us that they are heating the soup and that they will bring it out once it’s heated . After we spent another 10 min waiting, we went back in to check again . The food was still lying on the counter and the staff was busy cleaning up. We asked them again and that’s when they brought our food. The service was just too slow even though the food was ready instead of giving the food they were doing other things. The food itself was nothing great. It was expensive for what we got. And with the poor service it was a bad experience. foodiemuggles.com
Really great food and work ethic. The servers and chefs were working extremely hard and the food was delicious. The ambiance and privacy was lacking as everyone was standing around us like sardines. Couldn’t even hear ourselves talking and felt quite claustrophobic.
Pleasant little cafe, we felt welcome right away. Lots of breakfast choices. I had the eggs benedidict-really really good.Love the little place, wish we could find one like that in Coquitlam
This cafe is so cozy and they have so many options on their large chalkboard menus (including a kids menu). I definitely want to go back and try more things! I just had a caesar wrap and an AMAZING raspberry cream cheese croissant (which I kinda want shipped to Vancouver regularly). Their breakfast selections look pretty fabulous too (lots of bacon). I’ll be eating here a bunch when I go back to Bowen Island. There is lots of seating in the front with larger tables and a covered outside area on the side and plenty of seating inside. Such a convenient location too! Bonus points for being open on a Monday when everyone else was closed basically.
Fabulous. Do you like eggs Benny? The dill in the hollandaise sauce made this the best breaky I ever had. Going back for more! 🙂 So much to choose from so I take a chicken curry wrap before jumping the ferry back to Vancouver. The nicest people work here also. Cheers mate, have a great day! !!!
Great Beet Burger (veggie burger). Had the Beet Burger (a menu special) with salad and it was fresh, filling and delicious. As a vegetarian I’ve had my fair share of veggie burgers and I can confidently say that the chef definitely thought about their flavour combinations. Will come back again for sure!
Great little spot on the island! Specialty coffees are excellent, I also enjoyed watching their head chef in action!
