The ramen was average… the chasuu was delicious. Felt like the bowl needed more different types of ingredients to give it more texture. It was well priced so it gets an extra 0.5.
Came with a bunch of coworkers during lunch time on a Friday before the long weekend. The place was surprisingly not busy that the 7 of us got to sit down right away. Most of us ordered the lunch special for $7.50 that includes a bowl of ramen (either Shio or Shoyu) + a side salad or extra noodle or a bowl of rice. I picked the Shoyu ramen with salad. They would ask you whether you want Rich or normal soup, and if you want pork shoulder or pork belly. Since it’s end of week it’s my cheat day so I chose rich soup with pork belly. The noodles came with chunks of lard floating on the soup (hence rich soup) so I regretted right away… should’ve picked the normal soup. Thank God I ordered the salad (actually a slaw) to balance it off. The belly chashu were quite nice that they didn’t feel too fat and greasy at all.
