My wife and I went here on a dinner date before heading out to Gigi’s milonga (tango social dance). The food was absolutely delicious and tasty exciting. I ordered Spaghetti Putanesca. The serving size was very good and reasonable. The pasta and seafood were coated in a yummy red sauce. This dish also comes with a good story, as you may guess 😉 My lovely wife had Pizza Vegetariana. The toppings were wonderfully chunky and their natural look and flavour were featured prominently on a perfectly soft and crispy light thin crust. Service came with lots of character. It was excellent, personable, engaging, informative with a good dose of humour. The ambiance was great for a date. Traditional and elegant setting with soft lighting. Noise levels were low and good for conversation and romance. We’ll have to come back here again.
For the price, this pasta is amazing. Also, to be able to eat right away is a bonus if you don’t have time. I liked how you can watch them make it in front of you.
Came for dinner about 2 weeks ago and it was a nice little restaurant tucked away along a small strip mall. There weren’t very many people inside, but it was comfortable. The server was nice and was okay with me waiting for my friend who was arrived about 20 minutes late.We shared a Salsiccia e Funghi pizza and a Vongole spaghetti. It was a brick oven pizza and honestly not bad. Spaghetti wasn’t extraordinary, but again, not bad. My friend and I also shared a tiramisu for dessert, which was pretty good. All in all, it was an average Italian place but a little pricey. karenklee.com
I live in North Burnaby and I always drive by Pasta Amore. I’ve always wanted to try the place (probably over 5 years) but they always seemed dead. I was hesitant. How can a place be dead still be alive today? One day I built up enough courage to step foot in the place. When I walked in for dinner there was only 2 other tables seated. Tables slowly filled up while we were dinning. Service was good, although a bit slow. It seemed like the single person serving the whole dinning area was on top of things. But she needed help for sure. Portions of food was small for the price being paid. The food was good though. I much would of dined elsewhere for the price I paid. I ordered Penne with Italian sausage. There wasn’t much sausage in the pasta mind you(the picture speaks for itself). Maybe that’s why this place always seemed dead.
Came here with some friends for dinner. The pizzas and pastas are reasonably priced. The pasta was fantastic and the pizzas looked huge. Only complaint was that the service could’ve been a little better. I would recommend this place and will likely be returning.
Great service! Came here for dinner. Food portions are reasonably priced from $12-19 for pasta dishes. Server gave us free bread because our food order was taking a long while. Also, she gave us a few more pieces of bread to take home. Server checked up on us regularly to refill water. Pasta sauce was well made. They were willing to accommodate request for a rose sauce for a pasta dish. Good place to try if you are in the area.
I really like it. Very authentic Italian pasta. Love their taste. One of the very best Italian pasta in The lower mainland 🙂
