Pho Lan is located across from Richmond City Hall. We have read many great things about Pho Lan. We came here for lunch. It was very dirty and too many flies. We tried Vietnamese steam rice crepe and Special beef noodles soup The food were a little bit bland. The steam rice crepe was too thick. Place is great! Should try number 19 with extra quail eggs and size of the bowl is worth the price. Service is okay and big amounts of noodles and side orders. I recommend this place!
Didn’t enjoy this restaurant. Maybe I came on a bad day but the beef in the pho was extremely fatty. I’m not a fan of chewing on fatty bits so I had to tear the fat off of each piece and then put it aside, yuck! Spring roll was good but I would much rather have Pho at another Vietnamese restaurant nearby.
We have heard and read many great things about Pho Lans spring rolls, so we ventured out to Richmond and gave it a try. We were quickly seated even though it was super busy, we ordered the spring rolls and two bowls of noodles with your classic cuts of meat. As many have said already, spring rolls are delicious, super crunchy and full of flavour. As good as they were, we enjoyed the broth just as much. The broth is delicious, it’s very clear compared to most Pho joints, and does not taste like it’s full of MSG. The meat and noodles were pretty standard, but it’s the broth that makes the pho here amazing.If you haven’t been already, order a bowl of noodles and the spring rolls, you won’t regret it. Prices are fair and service is fine. We would recommend!
Terrible food, the minced pork was definitely not fresh & smelly. The spring rolls were over-deep fried, to cover the staleness! Service was poor, the lady server had no sense of service!
Cash only. No debit either. Washrooms in the way way way back. Food is solid. I’d ambience is your thing then go to downtown and flaunt your wealth. Entire area will be demolished soon so don’t expect and renos here.
