This used to be a chinese cafe joint but has now changed to a more formal chinese restaurant that is only open for dinner and late night eats. Came here after 9 pm for their late night menu and the food was pretty good with decent late night portions and average prices. If you order over $20 from the late night menu you get a free bowl of plain congee. Was a bit disappointed with the bowl of congee as it was small and was not filled up. Food overall was pretty fresh and had great taste. Food came hot to the table which is a good sign that it is cooked to order. Had a minor issue with the deep fried egg plant as the batter was a bit soggy. May have needed a higher temperature at frying or a better batter. Service was decent. They came by to refill our teapot and took away empty dishes promptly.One of my go to places for late night eats. Parking can be a pain though as there are only a few spots in the back. Extra parking next door by the CIBC or the parkade upstairs.
