Great food, better staff! Staff was super friendly and didn’t rush us into ordering like you find at some other sushi places. This was our first time going here and I was incredibly pleased with the experience. The portions were large and great for the price. I ordered the Seafood Sunomono and she ordered the Ebi Sunomono. I couldn’t even finish mine since the portions of it AND the other dishes were so much larger than expected! I especially enjoyed that they cut the pieces of octopus in the Seafood Sunomono nice and small as to avoid it being too chewy. We also got the Tuna Toro Roll, Black Pearl Roll, and Hirame tower Sashimi. Out of a all the food, the Sashimi Tower was my least favourite; but only due to the amount of mayo used. The fish In The tower was nice and fresh and cut nicely. The Black Pearl was massive and well worth the price. It also, surprisingly came with a mixed greens salad! The salad was slightly strange as it was topped with teriyaki sauce; but it was still tasty. Overall, my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed this visit and I would like to go back to try more on the menu!
Best In Langley. Hi I have been going to this place since it opened. The sushi is fresh most of the time. The art work incredible edible. However; service is horrible. Very slow and if they are busy empty plates stay on the table to long. 4 out 5 you get a great dish. I have had my favorite dish the Mr. Blue Sky Roll amazing. however; have had it were the tempera was not cooked all the way through once and this made me weary. The outside was brown inside raw. I believe the oil needed changing. All in all the sushi is great here just need more consistency.
Hirame sushi. Hiram’s sushi is the best sushi place I’ve been to for the taste of there sushi the size of there portions and the price. Although they have these three factors down I find there customer service to be a little on the lacking side.
Sbc. This is the best sushi meal I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten a lot of sushi. My family ate here on Christmas Eve 2013, and ordered about 4 rolls each (or bento boxes) – and when the food came we realized we had massively over-ordered! We were shocked at how big the rolls were: at least 1.5 times the size of normal maki. Everything was super fresh, delicious, and delicately arranged on each individual’s plate. One dish even came out with all the maki arranged as a dragon, it was beautiful.
Good Food. The portions here are very good. You won’t go hungry.
Really good salmon sashimi- thick cut and very fresh. Sand goes for tuna tataki. Good ambience and super friendly staff. Would definitely go back to try more on menu. Thanks for pictures of dishes to help me decide on Hirami Sushi. The rolls were tasty, just slightly big to put in one mouthful as it should be consumed.
The best. I eat a lot of sushi and Hirame has ruined other sushi restaurants for me. The quality of their sushi is second to none. Everything is very fresh and full of flavour. The price is a little higher than other sushi restaurants but you get what you pay for. I agree with other posters on this sight that the service is so so, but when you balance this with the quality of the food it is still more than worth it. I live a 45 minute drive away and that still doesn’t stop me when I need my sushi fix. In fact, my sister lives in Australia and whenever she visits this place is always on her list of stops.
