  Place was great when it first opened, and for years after that. But the last few time Ive ordered to go my order has been wrong and theyve forgotten to give me soy sauce and chop sticks. The quality of the food has decreased a great deal, and even made me ill.

  This used to be good the first year it was open. Then the last two times we ordered pick up and took it home it was clear the sushi was premade. The nori was chewy as it gets with cheap Togo places after it has sat a while against moist rice and the rice was compressed. My husband asked them why it was so fast last time and they said they were pre making it because it was so busy. I forgot and ordered to take away and same thing. My meal was ruined. I phoned to tell them I will not continue to order from there if they premade the sushi because we pay restaurant prices for restaurant quality. She didn’t understand and asked me to phone in the morning. That will be the last order from us.

  Have enjoyed the sushi there for quite a while and was very happy with it. During our last visit my wife and i both became violently ill while eating in the restaurant. We had been fine all day and the following day we were doing better. We can only blame the food that we were eating. When we told the employees they started talking in their language and said that their food was fine and that we must have the flu. They asked us if we would like to take home the remaining food that made us sick and there was no apologies or discount. Unfortunately, because of this incident, we will never be able to eat there again.

  My local go to Sushi place. The quality of the food here is first class, you only have to see the volume of local take out orders to know that.Eat in has pleasant welcoming service, and the food always made to order is fresh, and of high quality. The Miso soup is literally the best anywhere to start your meal. They will explain any dishes you are not sure about, and recommend items based on what you like, not what they want to sell you.They could do better with the drink menu, but the food is why you go there, and having said that if you like Green Tea, order that, its wonderful.

  Best Sushi in Langley!. I’ve been going here at least once a week for my office since the first week Sushi Mate opened a couple years back. It quickly became the go-to Sushi restaurant for everyone I work with. The sushi is always fresh and the portions are a good size and the price is excellent for what you get. The staff are very friendly.

  Trying to support local business when ever I can, next time I will head out of town, the worst service ever, walk in customers for take out were ordering and leaving with large orders while we waited and waited, no idea what they are doing or what customer service is, really too bad because the food is good but so put off by poor service I will not be returning.

  Great little sushi place!!. We moved from New Westminster a couple of years ago and this is the best sushi I’ve found in Langley so far (and yes I’ve tried about 10 different places). They are super attentive, the food is fresh and yuumy and restaurant itself is nice and clean, although not overly comfortable. However, I’d take clean and yummy over comfy any day.
