So many treats so little time. I bought quite a few on my first visit today. I was really there to try the Canolli. I bought the sicilian canolli, 2 macaron vanilla & pistachio, triple cake (I wanted fudge but got this) what a yummy mistake! , peanut butter cookie, apple slice and elephant ears. From what I tried so far I think I’m addicted. The amount of sweetness for each pastry was very leveled and not too sweet which I really like. I recommend you try this place!
These guys make the best Florentines. That being said, I recall one time the blond lady was picking at her teeth before she used her hand to place the vanilla slice I ordered into the bag. Recalling that incident keeps me from being a regular customer, but the Florentines are too good to pass up.
Good bread. I pick up some Portuguese rolls from this bakery weekly. They are always fresh and soft on the inside. Last week I tried their loaves of bread, I asked the woman what she recommends for la Fortuna bread beginners: the oat bread. I got it sliced at the shop. It was tasty fresh and for a price similar to what you get from Safeway’s bakery definitely the better choice. Sometimes I pick up some salami and/or cheese from their small deli section. Slices are thin. They don’t do debit under $5I have yet to try their pastries but am looking forward to them.

Be careful. This place has made me gain so much weight. Their baked goods are freaking delicious! I could eat a million of their custard tarts….mind blowing
Yum!. The portugese buns here are divine. Their desserts are great too but I am in it for those yummy buns!
