This place is a gem! It is a clean, comfy diner has a wide selections of great food. The owners are Thai and Canadian-born couple. They have authentic Thai food, as well as the good old burger and fries. We went many times to try out different Thai noodles that they serves all are impressive, good portion, and with lots of fresh ingredients. My daughter had their burger and fries; it was also excellent. The fries were crispy. The burger was not greasy, with health garnish. We kept going back to try different things; there was never anything that we dont like and we are picky eaters. Both service and price were also good; certainly were the reasons we return.
Janes is very eclectic and interesting. I’ve noticed people come here for breakfast but I decided to be the wacky customer that ordered the thai dishes on the menu and to my surprise it was good! Ordered the chicken basil stir fry and my bro the Lad Nah, this dish was a bit of a challenge to mix the gravy and crispy noodle. The only thing I wasn’t into was the Wonton soup broth was a bit on the sweet side.
Jane’s was sadly the lowlight of the last few months for me. First off, the service here is TERRIBLE. It’s slow, they get your order wrong and then they try to overcharge. It wasn;t just me on this one, I had to strike up a conversation with neighbouring tables to co-ordinate who was getting what order… seriously, I can’t believe this happened, it was like a scene from Seinfeld. How was the food you might ask? I would have rather gone to Panda Express.
yes, surprisingly but considering the value, free wifi, and the old-fashioned booths from the 70s. Like its low=pressure atmosphere i can sit here for hours working on my laptop lol.ordered their lunch special, honey garlic pork, tasty and good value for $10.95 too much rice even! lol good portion of veggies too.free parking all around.nice service. debit/credit all good here. Easy to use online ordering too.
Now the menu is western, the menu is chinese, but the menu is delicious. This unique spot is definitely worth stopping by. I love the spring rolls and veggie chow mein.
Simple breakfast done so well. My favorite spot in the neighborhood for a delicious morning meal. Excellent prices and a wonderful family offering the best service.
I often have a huge conflict at home when it comes to food. My husband always wants some kind of Western food, and I Asian food. Where should we go then? If you have the same problem, this restaurant is your solution! We like pretty much everything there; Hawaiian Fried Rice, Khao Muu Dang, Sweet & Sour Pork, Pulled Pork Poutine and burgers. I recently tried their Club house sandwich and it was yum! For breakfast, try their egg benny or Denver Omelet. The prices are really reasonable. Cleanliness is important to us and it looks pretty darn clean in their kitchen. And the restaurant is licensed which gets an extra point from my hubby.
