A small basic Korean restaurant with friendly staff and good food. Our server was very polite and recommended us items on the menu. She was also quick to refill our tea and to offer us more of the side dishes. The tofu soup comes in a huge bowl! I could barely finish it! Well worth the price!

Jong Ga is a solid choice for Korean food on North Road. It stands out from the crowd because they have the option to choose stone bowl rice with your meal. I love the crispy rice bottom so for me it’s a total winner.Their Gamjatang had good flavour and the portion size was generous. The banchan was pretty standard, but their zucchini dish is a personal favourite.Whenever I am in the area, this is always my first choice. The only downsides is that the restaurant is quite small and cramped. During the summer months it can get quite hot inside. purplechives.com
We actually visited this Korean restaurant at least a few times already. The servers were friendly and the service was great. The servers would actually let me know what was good and what I should be ordering or trying. We ordered a dish of beef and cabbages with rice and a bowl of noodles with kimchi, sausages, spam and rice cakes along with a bowl of rice this time. The portion of the beef and cabbages with rice was big. We had to pack the beef home. We could finish the bowl of noodles. The quality of food was great. This was the not important part! The prices were reasonable and affordable. The restaurant has a decent size and the food comes out quickly once we have placed an order, so customers don’t have to wait for a long time in order to get a table. I would highly recommend this Korean restaurant although there are so many other Korean ones in this neighbourhood.
Quite expensive for one person, not too much food, and the soup is heavily flavoured.. I guess that Korean food… They used the cheap noodles, which I didn’t like at all.Service is ok
Was around the area, and I saw maybe this place is worth while to take a bite, so came in and tried the food.I sort of expected the price will be around the price range of other korean restaurants nearby $15 per person type of range. was right, about that range. Then, so ordered the beef spicy soup. It comes with rice, and what’s neat about it is the rice comes in a stone bowl, something similar that reminds me of hk’s bao zai fan and also they cook it with small amount of veggies inside it, makes the rice slightly have a hint of peas and carrot. props for the rice though wowed me a bit :)So, the portion yea, about the same with the other restaurants nearby not much 🙁 and I guess there’s nothing much to say after eating korean food a gazillion times, the soup is spicy using korean pepper, I’ll say the veggies are well put but there’s not much to rave about unfortunately about this place :(Hmmmm would i recommend this place? not really, as this place doesn’t standout from the competition and I simply just eat a lot so need to pick my places right 🙂 mangkr.wordpress.com
