welll, there are a lot of coffee shops that opened in the area, and honestly, i’m not a big fan of deserts or paying $5 for tea/cofee/flavoured drinks but if my friends decided to come down to these coffee places to study, hmmmm i’ll give it a try. so went here and drinks were okay, but other than that… the ambiance is okay well furnished coffee shop. mangkr.wordpress.com
Interior is so hip. Great to see Main St. Gastown like coffee shop in the area. I’m not a coffee person but my husband is and he really enjoyed it. We also tried their desserts. Not a big fan of coffee shop desserts when it is not their main menu but they were delicious . We bought some home. We tried the tiramisu and mont blanc. Great quality, Breka/Faubourg like pastries and tastes as well as them.
This cafe is such a gem. The jazz music and the decor/ interior really reminds me of one of my favourite cafes when I was studying in Seoul. And their cakes and pastries are from Chez Christophe! I wish I live around Lougheed.. :(Photoed is the Spanish Latte ($4.95) and Chocolate Eclair ($5.90) update: they don’t play jazz anymore. instead, they play popular korean songs of different genres + the MVs projected onto the wall hungryblob.wordpress.com
This is my one of my favourite coffee shops in Vancouver. The atmosphere is lovely – a cross between Faubourg and Timbertrain. The interior is quite industrial looking but the music is a soft jazz music and they play a silent artsy video on the wall. Their branding is also very simple and clean and I love that they put such attention to detail – branded cup sleeves, beepers etc. I’ve been here 5 times in the past 2 weeks even though it’s quite far away for me because I just love it here too much!I’ve had their Spanish Latte, Matcha Latte and their Affogato. I usually have these in rotation because they are made with such care and they taste so good!I can’t wait to come back to try more of their drinks and desserts! purplechives.com
