Victoria ABC unsatisfactory. Although very satisfied with the ABC restaurant in Nanaimo, the one in Victoria, on Douglas Street, was not up to standard. My wife had a Quasdil and a soup. We shared the Quasdil. I would be surprised if it had inside half of what the one they serve in Nanaimo had. The salad was of poor quality as well. We will not be back.
I have eaten here quite often and my food is always great. The portions totally reflect price. The servers are always friendly. A couple of times I think they were understaffed.
The service here is just horrible. We’re from Vancouver and we eat at ABC country often and the place here does not compare to Vancouver. The food here takes FOREVER, and everyone is just ready to take a nap. Not impressed.
Went for breakfast on a whim. Staff was friendly and attentative. Food was average family restaurant style…. Two things however Eggs Benny do not come on bagel/English muffin or anything else for that matter. Waitress was more than happy to bring one on the side (I assume many other people have asked the same question)Terrible managementThe manager/ owner proceeded to berate the waitresses loudly in front of customers for 5 minutes for forgetting to upsell the new customers on the buffet ….there is no excuse to act in this manner…could have simply taken them aside in the back and calmly asked them to do so Because of the management will not be returning
Excellent service – mixed review on dessert. The staff were awesome and the host, a rather portly fellow was ever so nice to the children who came in. Our waitress, while young, was sweet. Now about the food…. we paid close to $18 for a shared pot of store brand tea (fair enough – it’s not a coffee house), a slice of pumpkin pie – my friend liked his and a serving of strawberry/rhubarb fruit crumble. About that….. burnt a bit on the top around the edges, tasty in the middle especially with the melting ice cream and then a few frozen chunks along the bottom.
