Best value in the Selkirk waterfront area. Caravana is a staple for most of the people who work in the Selkirk waterfront area on Jutland/Garbally and Gorge. The menu isn’t huge but it is authentic mediterranean food that always tastes great and is an incredibly good value. The chicken plate (#8 on the menu) is my favourite – you get chicken on top of rice with salad, pita and hummus for around $8.
Cold soggy falafels and yucky humus. Got humus and pita and a few falafel balls. The pita was pretty good but the falafels were cold and soggy. The humus was exactly like the kind that you get at the store that comes in a box as a powder and you add water. Not good. Cost 8 bucks too.

Lunch here yesterday, food was fresh and nicely presented but the Chicken Curry was not to my taste, fiery but with little actual flavour.
I’m honoured. I get to write the first review, cool. I’m telling you, the chicken plate (#8) is great. $8 and you get an awesome sized portion with all the essential ingredients to leave you satisfied. I try to eat here once a week. It’s one of my favourites in town for lunch!
