Food: simple and delicious. A great little cafe!I love their home made chocolate pecan cookies. Their smokey portobella soup is so delicious. I’m happy to have this cafe close to my office. Great variety and Fair prices.Excellent customer service. The staff working there are friendly, go above and beyond and add a fun vibe to the place. The baristas are very good in what they do. Always great americanos and lattes, very consistent. Only downsides would be that at times they get very busy, but I never really mind waiting. It’s definitely worth it.
Latte = cappuccino. These so-called baristas do not distinguish between lattes and cappuccinos. They come out basically the same, apparently because they think customers that don’t like the foam in cappuccino (just give them a bloody latte) know it best. Disappointing practice.

Bummer. Burnt americano, very rancid taste to the nuts in the trail mix cookie, which is ironic for a place called ‘fresh’. Pretty gross actually, too bad because there’s not much else in the area and the people are nice
Tasty and fresh like its namesake!. My husband took me to Fresh for lunch and boy was I pleased. The menu is simple but perfectly executed. Homemade soups, salads, smoothies and made to order sandwiches. The place was buzzing when we arrived. Counter service makes for a speedy lunch, ideal for office workers in the surrounding area. We loved our silky potato cheddar soup and our croissant was buttery, flaky and fresh and stuffed with ham and cheese. Salads looked tempting and I saw a fellow with a huge sandwich on whole wheat brimming with ham, veggies and sprouts. If you live around Dunedin across the bridge, you’d do well to look for this friendly little cafe. Very affordable too with items like grilled cheese panini with basil for around 5 bucks and cup of soup and half a sandwich for just $6. Lunch under $10 yet with made from scratch fare. Unsurpassed. Over the past couple of years I have sampled Fresh’s menu and have never been disappointed. The price point is good; and the quality is exceptional. The menu is deceptively simple as there is something for everyone. Quality permeates throughout… the staff are friendly and efficient, Greg the owner is creative and capable, and the ambience is enhanced by local artists showcasing their work and a decent system that won’t irk the audiophiles. There’s a magazine rack with daily newspapers if you didn’t bring company. Check it out. You’ll be glad you did. My favoite breakfast is egg on an english muffin with an Africano coffee; and the Tuesdays and Thursdays pulled pork specials are delicious.
Staff nice. Have been here a couple of times. Always busy and the seating is too crowded for my comfort. Bit pricey, but the staff have always been super and the place clean. I can’t comment on whether my drink was good or not – I drink day old coffee and am not fussy about that.
