The Ruby has firmly slid into our list as one of our favourite back-up breakfast places to go. The chicken and waffles are great, they have a sufficiently varied menu, and they make a great breakfast. If I am to knock any points off, it’s that those chunky potato hashbrowns are just the worst in the world of hashbrowns. I prefer my hashbrowns to be shredded, but any variety is better than giant dry chunks. I hate to focus so strongly on that because everything else is great – atmosphere, the price is good for the quality of food, and it’s just kind of always fun to go. In the instance of the particular visit I had, I had chicken soup and cornbread – weird choice maybe, but it was great.

We went to Ruby’s this morning for breakfast and I found the food tasteless. I had 3 different flavored breakfast taco’s and everyone was bland. The two other people in my party felt the same. I do not plan to go back. Atmosphere was great though.

We went to the downtown location. Considering there were a few people inside, food arrived a bit too late. The food was so so. Service was not good. definitely needs improvement.

Tasty, very well done meal, everything went together nicely, I suspect it may be pricey for some but I think it was worth it.I had the duck confit on hashbrowns with poached eggs, all fit together nicely and I enjoyed the meal. Also endless amazing coffee.

Had a late breakfast there today. A really good meal. One of the principal owners is involved with the (also really good?!) new Jones BBQ as Ive seen/talked with him in both locations now. And he’s not just walking around. Nope. A hands on guy. Ive never seen him without a well used kitchen apron on.Knocking it out of the park on a number of levels.Friendly. Efficient staff. Nicely laid out with a unusally large, funkyfun waiting area. More compact dining spaces and overall, comfortable and well decorated. My brother sez he saw a full on table tennis set up in the downstairs area. Really?.Ok. That’s unique. The coffee was really good and our primary server and others kept the cups full and made sure to take care of every detail.I had the breakfast tacos. I would have preferred the shredded style hash browns but that’s a small quibel. Brother had the Heavos Rancheros. His grrrlfrenn the bennie with kale.We all thought we got great meals and I’m looking forward to returning to try something off the lunch/dinner menu.A big serving of thanks and respect to the management and staff at the Ruby. You folks are dishing up major league dining value.

Simply the best casual dining experience I’ve ever had. Good service, and the food. Let me tell you about this food. Not a single ingredient was neglected, even the toast was amazing. The fries were extremely crispy and fluffy in the inside. The hash browns were crisped to perfection. The bacon was thick and tasty. So next time your on your way to dennys, just walk the half block to ruby’s.

Great service! Amazing food! Heathy as well as comfort options. Only thing that would need improvement is the wait times. If able they should expand the size of restaurant. We will definitely be back!!We waited a while before going back and its still amazing food. Same size of restaurant but no wait times. A true gem for weekend brunching.
